Cairns, the beaches and the southern corridor
The regular rounds cover the Cairns Regional Council area: the northern beaches down through Smithfield and Trinity Beach, the inner suburbs around the CBD, the Redlynch and Freshwater valleys, and the southern corridor through Earlville, Edmonton and Gordonvale.
Suburbs here are genuinely different to work in. A shaded Edge Hill block under raintrees and mangoes has almost nothing in common with a cleared Edmonton estate lawn or a sandy Trinity Beach front yard. The pages below set out what changes locally — soil, turf type, drainage, access and the local nuisances.

- Redlynch — steep valley blocks, acreage backing onto national park, and constant runoff management.
- Smithfield — free-draining sandy soils, salt-laden wind off Half Moon Bay and sandflies near the mangroves.
- Trinity Beach — salt-tolerant coastal planting, coconut palms and a lot of holiday rentals on standing rounds.
- Earlville — flat clay ground that holds water, drainage swales and carpet grass invading older couch lawns.
- Manunda — small post-war blocks with narrow side access and a high proportion of rentals.
- Edmonton — new estates against cane country, big open lawns and a guinea grass seed source over every fence.
- Gordonvale — Mulgrave River flats, large town blocks and acreage under Walshs Pyramid.

Freshwater, Whitfield, Stratford, Kamerunga, Kewarra Beach, Clifton Beach, Palm Cove, Yorkeys Knob, Parramatta Park, Bungalow, Woree, Bayview Heights, Mount Sheridan, White Rock and Bentley Park are all serviced regularly, they just do not have their own page yet. Acreage and slashing work goes further out than the mowing round does.
What is available in every suburb
The full list is the same wherever the truck goes: lawn mowing on a weekly or fortnightly round, garden maintenance, hedge trimming and pruning, weed control, green waste removal and gutter cleaning before the wet.

Frequently asked questions
Which council area do you work in?
All of the suburbs listed here sit within the Cairns Regional Council area, which runs from Ellis Beach in the north down past Gordonvale to Babinda in the south, and west to Kuranda and the Barron River. Rules about green waste disposal, kerbside collection and vegetation on council land are the same across that whole area.
Do you charge more for suburbs further out?
Not by suburb, but travel does affect a quote. A property that fits neatly into a day's route costs less to service than one that sits well outside it, which is why blocks in the middle of a run are easier to price keenly. If you are on the outer edge of the coverage area, ask — some days there is already a job nearby.
My suburb is not listed. Do you still come out?
Probably. The listed suburbs are where the regular rounds go, not a hard boundary. Freshwater, Whitfield, Kewarra Beach, Clifton Beach, Palm Cove, Bayview Heights, Mount Sheridan, White Rock and Bentley Park are all serviced regularly too, and acreage and slashing work goes further out again. Ring and ask rather than assuming.
Does the type of lawn really change by suburb?
More than people expect. Shaded older suburbs like Edge Hill lean heavily on buffalo, newer estates in the southern corridor are usually zoysia or couch over cleared ground, and unimproved blocks near cane land and creeks are dominated by carpet, guinea and para grass. Soil varies too, from free-draining coastal sand to heavy clay on the flats.
